Tom Herr is a highly successful Business Development professional, Sales Team leader, and direct Sales professional who has spent 30+ years perfecting sales techniques and strategies in a business to business, complex and strategic sales environment.  In addition to more than 20 years of valuable experience and success in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, Tom has market experience in various industrial markets including the construction/electrical utility vehicular engineering, engineered plastics, mining, chemical, oil and gas industries.

Tom continues to enjoy a senior role in several companies in supplying engineered solutions to the global Aerospace and Defense industry — selling solutions to both Tier 1 and Tier 2 defense contractors (Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, BAE Systems, DRS, L3 Communications, GDLS, and many others to name a few) as well as direct to the U.S. Government.  Tom has spent 23 years focusing primarily in the aerospace and defense industry, and is a recognized leader in the Business Development community in Aerospace and Defense.

Tom’s motivational sales “team building” approach stresses the importance of a Sales Plan, knowing your targets, engaging your targets, and finding new opportunities (the pipeline) and closing on them.  The complex and strategic sales environment is one which relies heavily on developing relationships and trust, and maximizing the customer experience before and after receiving orders.  This is exemplified by Tom’s expertise in LAUNCH sales techiques, as well as Miller Heiman Strategic Selling experience.

Tom has found, signed and trained extensive International Rep Networks – and is an expert at developing processes to keep international reps motivated and working as an asset to their principles.
